I am lucky enough to have some friends who despite knowing me for quite a while still want to speak to me. However their patience has recently been put the test. Indeed, for some time now, my conversasion has turned from boring to anoying. Wether it's at the pub or at our favourite Chinese restaurant, I insist on every possible occasion at exposing my doom and gloom view of our upcoming economic nightmare.
It's not that I am smarter than these guys or should be more educated as to what's going on in the world. It's just that, having been working in finance for years now, I have long ago lost the candour displayed by those who believe that there is a pilot in the plane who is setting us on course to ever lasting economic prosperity. And so I decided to start doing my own home work which led me to realise that economic Armageddon would soon be upon a lot of us in the west, while few others would be having the time of their lives.
Now no question or debate no matter how profound or important should ever be coming between a group of buddies and a few pints of lager or some hot shanghai dumplings. This is why I decided to start this blog: to contain my discussion about the world economy to somewhere more appropriate than my socialising space.
